OYAKHILOME BELLO FOUNDATION PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR WIDOWS AND LESS PRIVILEGED IN LAGOS

.....Assures of continued interface with the people 

In his avowed commitment to improving lives, Oyakhilome Bello Foundation gave financial support to widows and the  less privileged in Lagos

The event which took place on Tuesday in  Senator Oluremi Tinubu Hall of Surulere Local Government had no fewer than 50 widows benefited from the cash relief support of  the foundation.

In his welcome address, the National Coordinator, Hon. olaniyi Ilori said the essence of the financial grant is to help the widows and the less-privileged to cushion the effect of the economic hardship on the people especially the downtrodden widows in lagos state.

Reeling  out some of the programs embarked on foundation, Ilori said that the foundation just concluded a plan to train youths across the nation on energy coupled with skills acquisition empowerment , health, education and others the foundation has embarked on in making life meaningful to the people.

The Founder and Visioner of the Foundation  Hon.Oyakhilome Bello in his  address disclosed that it is with a great sense of responsibility and commitment of service to humanity and empowering  widows that the program was organized to put  smiles on the faces of the people especially the downtrodden.

He said: " Today's financial grant  is specially designed for widows and the less-privileged who are finding it hard to cope with the current economic reality.

"It is a giving back to Lagos community having my background well rooted in the Lagos most especially in surelere local government.

"We are aware of the current economic hardship on our people and as part of our vision to interfacing with people is the reason why the welfare of the Widows remains priority to us now and why we are giving out this financial grant to support widows in Lagos,"he said.

In the same vein, the Secretary of the foundation, Ms. Efe Bello implored the women to put the financial grant intervention into proper usage. She also recalled the  welcome back to school project  carried out by the foundation in January having the primary school pupils beneficiaries.

Commending the foundation, Mrs.Bolanle Rafiu expressed her appreciation to the founder and the entire foundation team for their kind gesture to the widows which was in the right direction as many widows are finding it difficult to survive now.

Also, Mrs. Ifeoma lauded the foundation for prioritizing the welfare of the widows and less-privilege with the financial grant given to them.

The highlight  of the event witnessed the presentation of Cash of #10, 000  to the 50 widows

The event took another twist with the presentation of the meritorious award of  Humanity to the founder of the Oyahkilome Bello Foundation  by the Lagos State Chapter of the Foundation.

Responding to the Award, Hon.Oyahkilome Bello said the honour bestowed on him by the Lagos Chapter will keep spurring him not to relent in the course of providing quality service and making life better in our society.
