 FROM CRITICISM TO COMMENDATION: GOVERNOR MONDAY OKPEBHOLO'S PERFORMANCE SPEAKS FOR ITSELF

There is a timeless saying: When a leader consistently performs exceptionally well, even the harshest critics will eventually acknowledge and applaud their achievements.

This appears to be the case with Arise TV news co-anchor, Oseni Rufai, and the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, popularly known as Akpako Rescue.

When Governor Monday Okpebholo assumed office, Oseni Rufai was among those who questioned his capacity and expressed doubts about what his administration could achieve. Like many others, he was skeptical of the governor's ability to deliver. However, history has consistently shown that leadership is judged not by opinions or assumptions, but by tangible results.

Today, Governor Okpebholo's performance is speaking louder than the voices of his critics. Through his commitment to good governance, infrastructural development, people-oriented policies, and compassionate leadership, he has continued to earn the respect and admiration of many, including those who once doubted him.

One notable example is the governor's recent decision to provide ₦1 million in financial support to Edo State returnees from South Africa. This humanitarian gesture has attracted widespread commendation. Oseni Rufai has also praised the initiative, calling on other state governors to emulate Governor Okpebholo's style of governance and his people-first approach.

Governor Monday Okpebholo has demonstrated through action that he came into office prepared to serve, develop, and rescue Edo State. His administration continues to show that true leadership is defined by vision, compassion, accountability, and measurable impact.

As the saying goes, performance is the strongest response to criticism. Governor Okpebholo's growing record of achievements continues to win over both supporters and former critics alike.

If the governor sustains this pace of impactful projects and transformational leadership, many believe that even former Governor Godwin Obaseki may one day acknowledge and commend the remarkable development taking place across Edo State. Exceptional performance has a unique way of earning respect, even from those who once held opposing views.

Governor Monday Okpebholo has demonstrated that genuine leadership is about delivering results that improve the lives of the people. As his administration continues to execute projects across the state, many Edo citizens remain hopeful that even greater achievements lie ahead.
