BREAKING NEWS!!! PRESIDENT TINUBU ORDERS FRESH EDO APC PRIMARIES INDICATES CONSIDERATION FOR ALTERNATIVE CANDIDATE

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Rejects Hon. Dennis Idahosa and Senator Monday Okpebholo’s Candidacy.

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has rejected the All Progressives Congress primaries held in Edo State last Saturday, February 17, 2024, and has ordered a fresh election in the state.

Information indicates that the President is dissatisfied with the outcome of the primary elections, which produced two to three candidates he feels cannot bring victory to the party considering the State's dynamics.

The President, who has instructed party faithful to ignore politicians in the state using his name to endorse selected candidates, emphasizes that the party, via the NWC and the chairman, must produce candidates capable of securing a landslide victory in the elections.

An inside source reveals that there will be a reshuffling in the new primaries, proposed to be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024. It's likely that the three declared winners may not make the list, as they have demonstrated an inability to peacefully secure victory for the party in the upcoming September 2024 elections.

Edo State election, known for its complexity, requires strong candidates able to garner mass appeal.

As such, it is anticipated that a different candidate will emerge to represent the APC in the upcoming election.
